All ages

Help your dog feel safer and more comfortable with essential care.

This program supports both dogs who struggle with vet visits, grooming, or handling, and young dogs who are being proactively prepared for lifelong care experiences.

Cooperative care focuses on teaching dogs to willingly participate in their own care, using choice-based, fear-free training. We build understanding, predictability, and trust so care routines can happen without force or distress.

This program can support:

Routine grooming and care

  • Nail trims, brushing, bathing
  • Ear and teeth care
  • Paw, pad, and body checks

Veterinary-related care

  • Giving medication
  • Calm restraint and handling at the vet
  • Injections preparation
  • Muzzle training (basket or traditional)
  • Scale training and exam handling

Handling and equipment comfort

  • Staying relaxed on grooming tables
  • Wearing medical devices (cones, recovery gear)
  • Towel wraps and drying
  • Wearing harnesses, boots, or clothing

What’s not included

To ensure safety and appropriate care boundaries, this program does not include:

  • Blood draws
  • Temperature checks
  • Fur clipping

We are not able to diagnose your pet with any medical issue or provide medical advice.

You’ll get a customized training plan, personalized weekly lessons, session recordings, training reports, training folder, enrichment time, practise in a vet setting (if available), enrichment item to keep, and a follow-up session two weeks after the program ends. Proactive, force-free preparation for vet visits, grooming, and everyday care routines.

The outcome isn’t just easier appointments — it’s a companion animal who knows what to expect and how to participate without fear or anxiety.”
